Springtime visits to Washington DC are great! The weather is usually fair, the spring flowers are in bloom and the humidity is not a problem.  Please do yourself a favor and take a bus tour, or local tour with a guide. Parking and walking is not the best way to see DC.  The narrative elements give you so much more history and interesting points to enjoy.

The Changing of the Guard takes place day in and day out 24 hours a day and 7 days a week no matter what the weather conditions. We urge you to visit Arlington Cemetary,  Washington DC and see the remarkable tributes to our veterans and service personnel who have given their all in service to our country. A special thanks to the 3rd United States Infantry of the United States Army and these quality young americans who serve and pay tribute to our country's finest men and women. Special thanks to all services as we have special needs for troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, the Balkans, and at our many embassies throught the world at this time.

This is an unusual view of the Lincoln Memorial as you approach it. For seniors or handicapped folks there is an elevator on the lower level to take you to the main viewing areas. It is also recommended to schedule your visit to Washington D.C. with a tour group. You will see much more in less time and have no parking worries.

This beautiful monument is one of many that most people never see unless they go to our nation’s capitol. We honor all veterans of all wars and are very proud of their great sacrifices. We honor and support those who are in the military today and are very proud to give them our thanks and prayers. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines, on land, air, sea and space, we are very proud of you all!
