Jack Gilbert |
|
Jack Gilbert, BA, LLB, LLM, QC, Retired securities, corporate, business lawyer. After retiring from his law practice, Jack has moved on to many successful entrepreneurial pursuits. With the influence of a father who was a professional photographer and a brother, Al Gilbert, who is recognized nationally and internationally for his unique portrait style along with his wife and muse, artist Ina Gilbert, Jack naturally turned as a serious hobby to photography. Jack combines his natural eye at capturing the perfect shot with his ever growing mastery of Adobe Photoshop to create works of art, uniquely his own style. Jack enjoyed almost immediate success with a sell out show of his first group of works which he refers to as “abstracted conceptual compositions that are as much about imagination as reality”. C. Duane Hague |
|
C. Duane Hague was born August 30, 1939 in Colfax, Washington. The Hague family moved to Dallas, Oregon in 1945, where Duane lived all through his grade school years in a rural environment. During his seventh grade school year, his parents divorced, resulting in a move to Portland, Oregon, where he’s resided ever since.
After high school, Duane did a four year hitch in the navy (1956-1960). Shortly after his discharge, he married and fathered two girls. During this time, he attended college, where he earned a degree in engineering. After seventeen years, Duane divorced and remarried, where he continued populating the earth with a son and daughter. Since his retirement, he’s received a degree from The Institute of Children’s Literature and is pursuing a writing career. Even though he’s enjoyed a small measure of success with a growing number of publishing credits, he’s the first to admit that he’s chosen a difficult road to fame and riches. |

Says Thena "I am a happily retired card carrying member of AARP and proud of it! I retired about four years ago and have rushed headlong into my real life outside of the 9-14 hour workday that today's world demands. I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. I won my first poetry contest when I was about 9 years old and my poem was in the local newspaper. I have a wonderful hubby of 42 years and a beautiful grown up daughter. My hubby has just recently retired and we are enjoying a less stressful time of life. These are the wonderful things in my fairly newly retired world that make up my poetry and inspire me. |
