Sometimes the inspiration for poetry shines straight down upon us. This poem is Frank's tribute to our recent lunar eclipse back on the eve of February 20, 2008.

Eclipse
By Frank Ryan

A copper moon was out last night
So dull and shiny and round
I missed a photo of the orb but
We enjoy the glimmering profound!

So beautiful, so silent.

Quiet sphere slowly glowing
Across the skies
It pierced my soul with a cold feeling
That mesmerized my eyes.

A wonder in the sky.

Not again for many years
Will it come once again
Copper moon you are gone until once more
Your reflection lights our lane.

Thank you God!
